The Jeep Compass is a great SUV that nicely fills the gap between the Jeep Renegade and the Jeep Cherokee, making it one of the most impressive SUVs on the market. What distinguishes the Compass from the rest of the pack is its easy-to-use technology, spacious back seat, and some outstanding off-road features. Like most of the other Jeep SUVs, the Compass comes with a Trailhawk trim with solid off-road features such as underbody skid plates, all-terrain tires, and a lifted suspension. Sport
The Compass starts things off nicely with the Sport, which, like all trims of the Compass, comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel-drive is the standard, but you get the option of all-wheel-drive if you prefer. If you go with front-wheel-drive, the engine pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission, while a nine-speed automatic is standard when you get all-wheel-drive. Several impressive features are available for the Sport as it comes with steel wheels, automatic climate control, first and second-row USB ports, a six-speaker sound system, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Latitude
The second trim level available for the Compass is the Latitude. It builds off what the Sport offers by adding ith roof rails, keyless entry and ignition, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and automatic headlights. You also get foglights and satellite radio. Available is a Convenience Group which gets in on the fun with a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, windshield wiper de-icer, and a remote vehicle start. New this year is a Sun and Sound package that comes with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

Limited
If you're looking for more luxury and tech items, you will want to go with the Limited trim. It comes with a remote engine start, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and a color information driver display. Also standard is an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and an all-leather upholstery. Several safety features are available, including blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic braking, and lane-keeping assist. A gloss black roof is optional.

Trailhawk
Do you want to take your Compass far into the wilderness? Then we introduce you to the Trailhawk trim. It comes with advanced off-road equipment such as off-road-oriented tires, a raised suspension, underbody skid plates, tow hooks, hill descent control, and standard all-wheel-drive. Also standard is a Selec-Terrain Traction Management System and a more aggressive front and rear appearance. The Trailhawk and the other trim levels of the Compass come with several options, including xenon headlights, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, an integrated navigation system, a power liftgate, and a sunroof.
