Standard equipment on the SXT is a 3.6L Pentastar V6 mated to a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission that kicks out 303 horsepower. While rear-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is optional.

GT
The GT trim dials up on exterior appearances with an upgraded front fascia, a functional hood scoop, a front splitter, fog lights, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Other standard features on the Challenger GT include rear parking sensors, remote vehicle start, and performance steering.

R/T
The R/T trim is where the Challenger harnesses its muscle car spirit. Under the hood is a 5.7L HEMI V8 that pushes out 375 horsepower, while electronically controlled active exhaust gives drivers that satisfying V8 growl. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission while the 8-speed automatic is available. The R/T also includes an electronic limited-slip rear differential, a functional hood scoop, and houndstooth cloth seats with performance bolsters.

R/T Scat Pack
The R/T Scat Pack takes the power up to 485 horsepower with a 392-cubic inch 6.4L HEMI V8. The Scat Pack employs line lock which locks the front tires, allowing the rears to spin freely. Launch control is also used to give drivers the best possible launch time. Other features include an 8.4-inch touchscreen, SRT Performance Pages, Brembo performance brakes, and 20x9-inch low gloss Granite Crystal alloy wheels.

SRT Hellcat
The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat creates a league of its own with a legendary supercharged 6.2L V8 good for an exhilarating 717 horsepower and 656 lb-ft of torque. Brembo high-performance brakes with red brake calipers are standard for the Hellcat. Other standard equipment includes bright exhaust outlets, a performance dual-snorkel hood, track mode, Bilstein adaptive damping suspension with customizable ride stiffness settings, performance shift indicator, line lock, launch control, and after-run chiller. The after-run chiller feature uses refrigerant from the air conditioning to cool down the supercharger after the vehicle has been shut down. The Hellcat is also available in a widebody, and the Hellcat Redeye which employs a high-output supercharged V8 for 797 horsepower.
