The 2022 Chevy Equinox has only one engine, a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder delivers 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. That is typical for SUVs in this segment. The Equinox has a tow rating of 1,500 pounds which is minuscule compared to the Grand Cherokee. Front-wheel drive comes standard on all models.
