Big Horn

Several engine options are available for the RAM, and each is more powerful than the last. Most trims come standard with a 3.6-liter V6 that pumps out 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with RAM's eTorque system, which assists with the RAM 1500s fuel economy and improves the stop-start smoothness. Optional is a 5.7-liter V8 with 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque and is available with or without the eTorque system. If you are looking for a diesel engine, the RAM 1500 has it, and it's a diesel-powered turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that rips out 260 horsepower and an astounding 480 lb-ft of torque. The last engine comes with the new TRX trim, and it's a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that pounds the pavement with 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. All of these engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the choice of rear-wheel or all-wheel-drive. 

Seven trims are available for the RAM 1500, and there are a ton of tech of luxury features available with each. The Tradesman starts the trim lineup, and it comes with 18-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, trailer sway damping, and a 5-inch touchscreen with a six-speaker stereo. The Big Horn builds on this with either an 8.4-inch or 12-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Rebel has a ton of off-road features if your interested such as hill descent control, four underbody skid plates, an electronic locking rear axle, upgraded shocks, and all-terrain tires. With the Laramie and the Longhorn, you get a ton of luxury features such as power mirrors, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, side steps, reclining heated rear seats with under storage, and a spray-in bedliner with in-bed lighting. The Limited adds to this with a standard 12-inch touchscreen and 5.7-liter V8,  four-corner air suspension, wireless charging pad, and premium leather bucket seats. New this year is the TRX trim, and it rounds out the features lineup with a head-up display, reverse steering control, and RamBox cargo storage.  

The safety systems for the RAM 1500 are as impressive as the engine options and the tech and luxury features. There is an available Advanced Safety Group for this massive pickup that comes with an Adaptive Cruise Control System, which allows you to keep a pre-set distance between the RAM and the traffic ahead of it. Also included in this package is a Surround-View Camera System, which gives you a top-down view of the RAM 1500 as well as the surroundings so you can get in and out of difficult parking situations. The last system available in this package is the Lane Keeping Assist System, which can steer the pickup back into its lane if you happen to drift outside the painted lanes.
