Can you tell me more about the Wrangler's trim levels?
Jeep offers the Wrangler in a total of four trim levels for the 2021 model year, the Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon. The entry-level Sport model is outfitted with great features like crank windows, manual door locks, skid plates, fog lights, a 5-inch touchscreen, and 17-inch steel wheels. The upper trim levels build on the Sport with features like alloy wheels, tinted windows, power windows, air conditioning, a 7-inch touchscreen, body-colored fender flares and grille, Apple and Android smartphone integration, larger wheels, and so much more! The Rubicon trim is ready for any trail with features like a soft-top roof, rock rails, electronic front and rear differentials, heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles with shorter 4.10 gear ratio, and power windows.
What about the engine options?
Under the hood of the Wrangler, drivers will find one of four engine options. The standard is a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 that cranks out 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine is outfitted with the eTorque mild-hybrid system and either a manual or automatic transmission. Offered for both body styles is the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that creates 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque while a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 is only offered for the four-door body style, generating 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. The powertrain option is new for the 2021 model year! Combining the 4-cylinder engine with two integrated electric motors and a hybrid battery pack, this powertrain can kick out 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque.
Could you talk about the safety features?
No matter where the adventure takes the Wrangler, it is read to protect the driver and passengers around every twist and turn. Features that help drivers and passengers feel safe and secure, whether the top is off or not, include automatic high-beam headlamps that automatically sense when they are needed and when they aren’t, adaptive cruise control that automatically adjusts the Wrangler’s speed to match the vehicle detected ahead, and blind-spot monitoring that notifies drivers of vehicles that are detected in the SUV’s blind spot. Other safety features include the standard ParkView backup camera, a suite of airbags installed throughout the cabin, and the available forward-facing camera.
