The heart of the Compass is a 2.4L Tigershark engine that makes up to 180 horsepower and has a best-in-class highway fuel economy rating of 32 mpg. The Tigershark engine also allows that Compass to tow up to 2,000 pounds. The available Selec-Terrain Traction Management System for the Compass comes with settings for Auto, Snow, Sand, Mud, and Rock with the Trailhawk model. The Trailhawk model also comes standard with Jeep Active Drive Low 4x4 system and Hill Descent Control, which focuses on speed so you can focus solely on steering.
